Perfect landing spot for colorful, pretty pieces
Before I shipped out a painting the other day, I trimmed the edges up.
The fragments were pretty and I wanted to do something with them. I picked up the pieces and let them drop through my fingers. What can I do with these, I wondered.
I opened an art journal from the stack on my work table and flipped through until I got to the page with the plain buttery yellow background.
Perfect landing spot for colorful, pretty pieces that felt adrift on the table. Not discarded, exactly, but adrift. Turned the page and there it was - the place they belong.
